Persistent Crush

A design for the #CharacterDesignChallenge which takes place on facebook every month. I have always meant to join in and there are some really inspiring designs on there, so having a go with my first entry during the theme of 'Olympian Gods'. Cupid has always been my favourite, and I imagine him as that niggling, persistent crush we feel - perhaps for someone we shouldn't, or out of reach, or someone who has hurt us - but it presses us on against our lack of confidence, to pursue them. He just keeps going!

More art! I finally began adding to my 'Seasons' series of Mother Nature and Pan - do you recall my piece, 'Sleep', that showed Mother Nature dying in winter and Pan staying at her side to die with her? It recently sold at a charity auction to raise money for animals in need. This new piece (above) is called 'Spring' and shows the newly born Mother Nature meeting Pan for the first time. They will repeat this every year for all time. The other piece is more of my centaurs, which I may ink later as well. Happy winter!

Legion

I'm really happy with this commission! :) It was as requested - "A female werewolf, winged and horned, as part of the game 'legion' So some artistic liberty, but really pleased :)

Commissions

Many more commissions recently; it's been wonderful to have them flooding in. Haven't had so much time to work on my own stuff, but, with a cintiq recently purchased that's soon to change, and I have new storyboard's ready to launch into animation!

More commissions!

Beware those beasties! And, more friendly beasties. Been doing a lot of commissions lately but actually managed to finish some of my own work too. This monster, Boron, is from my current novel and is one of the main villains; a mean boy, but interesting character nonetheless with a complicated desire for revenge. The com is for a friend of himself and someone he cares for deeply. Along with a few other characters too :)

Acylic

Back to acrylic painting, along with the newfound Spring sunshine. I haven't used Acrylic in what seems like forever so it was great to break out a new pack again; I always find acrylic so freeing! Painted a mermaid why not - titled 'The sad mermaid'.
