River

I love, love, love drawing centaurs and have a whole herd in mind. This is a revisit to an old sketch of a filly named River - admiring herself, quite fittingly, in a river. They are so peaceful to draw and paint. I absolutely love them! Happy Spring everyone :)

Spooky!

Back to some more human art, and whilst waiting for my new contract to start I have been working on my own art, finishing off so many unfinished paintings. I've done many renditions of my dollmaker but never finished any - in some he is very scary, in others, more mournful and misunderstood. There is more to this talented creator, a dark secret behind his life like creations...spooky!

Fur-maids

Following a newly invigorated mermaid passion, following mermaid lessons, I've been offering 'furmaid' commissions and had wonderful responses online. This is a wip of my newest one, a character for a client named 'Ira'. Really pleased with how its looking so far!

Working with a 'silver screen' theme for an upcoming art show. Poodles are so sassy, so why not? I'm hoping to have this printed onto some kind of weathered paper to look like a vintage signed postcard!

Zoo Studies

Working on lots of animal designs for my portfolio update. Moving to a new studio soon! Had a lot of fun bringing out personality in a variety of Zoo and African wildlife! Also, Happy New Year!

Orc Wife

I loved the new Warcraft movie! My only complaint - the human actors were no where near as believable as the orcs haha! I put together a sketch of an orc wife, and I just love the anger and ferocity you can get out of these characters.

The Fox and his Scarf

Finally I bit the bullet to share some gifs online! Hooray! I'm going through that phase where there are never enough hours in the day; no time to do anything, or get anything done. But I am trying pretty hard, between learning to drive and also getting a new job - as animation co-ordinator on a hit CBeebies show! I'm delighted! But I must, like any artist, keep practising. I realised, with the monumental task of colouring and shading this piece that, frankly, I just enjoyed animating, I would post it just as it is. And I'm glad of it! Lots to do but I do get through. It's a good year!
